For this collection of artwork, I created these prints in response to a placement at a microbiology lab, specifically medical microbiology. The different areas of medical microbiology and individual microbiologists inspire each piece of this collection. These mixed-media prints use a mix of gelly plate prints and Lino prints, combined with oil pastel, coloured pencil, ink and acrylic paint. The theme behind the pieces is that they are constructed using layers of shapes and forms found in the lab; for example, equipment, discoveries, and materials.
